Till Words Turn Into Water
At the point of wishes, the waters have turned to marsh.
The place seems dead, and yet, a vegetation of people sprouts around it.
Who still wishes?
What would happen if we broke the silence of things?
If we gave a voice to what cannot speak?
A fountain in Plaza Argentina gathers all that seems unconnected.
It is the center of a circle; and there, in the whirlpool of its stagnant waters, you can hear the wishes that were never spoken.
"When you have lost everything, what do you wish for?"
The performance explores the wish as an act of life and possibility - a daring embrace of failure.
At the threshold of the personal and the collective, words attempt to become water: flow, relation, possibility.
Through a body that inhabits, plays, struggles to articulate speech.
And may the river take it all...
